Dear Jean and family,
We are sad to hear of Ralph's passing. We had been able to visit with him a few years ago at their home in Irwin. We had such a nice time, and got to see the goat and fish mounts that proudly displayed on the wall. Ralph had so many of Grandma Keller's mannerisms it was like talking with her again. Ralph and my husband Gene talked like old pals for hours about their service experiences. That day most of the family was boating and camping so we did not get to meet any of you. My mother was Maxine,the oldest of the Keller girls, and Joe (Yekisa). They visited with the truck camper and later with their Coachman when the Keller bunch came. They passed in 85 and 95. My sister is Mary Scranton. My son Scott now lives near Hardin, Montana so we are out West often and really love it. We see why Uncle Ralph fell in love there and never moved back to Ohio. I had hoped that on our next trip out we could visit again. Please enjoy all of the hunting memories you have with Ralph and the many other good times with your Dad. You have our sympathy. Sincerely,
Gene and Barbara Schubert

Mary and Herbert Scranton Family

Dear Aunt Jean,
Gene, Ed, Betty Lou, Bob, Travis and families;

Sorry to hear of Uncle Ralph's death. We think of our Keller families in Idaho and talk of our trips "out West" often. Our fond memories of Uncle Ralph will always be with us!

Aunt Jean, we remember the Moose steaks you grilled on your "wheelborrow grill"; your 4th of July Hog Roast; and your Sourdough Pancakes were a big hit with us too!

We send our sympathy and love on the Wings of a Dove from Ohio to Idaho!

Mary, Herb, Heather, and Holly

Idaho will never be the same without Red. I will always treasure are debates over the benefits of Idaho and Wyoming. Red was always happy and willing to help out anyone. I'm sure the twins will always cherish the time Red and the mules rescued them on their overnight hike. Red exhibited all the strong personality traits associated with the west. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to consider him family, to have had a beer with him and roasted a pig.

Idaho will never be the same without Red. I treaure our discussions concerning the merits of Idaho vs. Wyoming. Red was a friend to all, and went out of his way to help others. My twins will always remember how excited they were to have Red and his mules rescue them from their overnight hike. Red examplified the strong traits associated with the "West". I am proud to have had the opportunity to call Red family, to have drank a beer with him and discussed life in general over a heaping plate of "pig". I will never think of the Idaho/Wyoming border without remebering Red and his winning smile.

My Dearest Gramie, Uncle Gene, Uncle Ed, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Betty - The boys and I are truley sorry about your loss. We will all cherish the memories and stories we had with Grandpa, and I especially will never forget how he and Gramie welcomed me into the family with open and loving arms (as you all did). The first time I met Grandpa, I thought he was the biggest teddy bear ever. He always had stories and jokes to tell. They were the most amazing stories and darn good jokes. Tucker and Ethan wanted me to say a little something in their own words . . "We will never forget that time that Grandpa let us ride on the tractor with him. That was the best time ever. We will miss Grandpa but we know that he will watch us from Heaven and keep us safe." . . . . You are in our thoughts and prayers . . Love and miss you all!!!!!

From a grandson to his grandpa, if there is anything in life I have done right it is because I walked in the shadow of a true man.My only wish is that my grandpa will always know he is my best friend and my biggest hero.If I am any kind of man it's because I had the best role model to follow.Please, grandpa you are in my heart and in my prayers,when I look at the sky I will know that you are with me.I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU FOREVER.... YOUR LITTLE BUDDY. GOOD BYE MY FRIEND MY HERO...................... Semper Fi
