Ziola Marie Medel Cook, 6 months old, died January 4, 2010, at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

She was born June 14, 2009, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Juan Cid Medel and Michelle Marie Cook. She spent these few months of her life in Idaho Falls.

She enjoyed eating and playing with her big sister.

She is survived by her mother, Michelle of Idaho Falls and her father, Juan, of Mexico; a sister, Juleymi Cook; grandparents: Cola Hudson and Arnulfo Alatorre; and grandmother #2, Barbara Estrada; great-grandmother, Arla Preston; an uncle, Zack Hudson all of Idaho Falls.

Memorial services will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls. The family suggests that those attending services to please not wear all black clothing, but to wear bright colors or white.
