Obituary

Alan "Alamo" Kent Ferguson, 55, of Idaho Falls, died Monday November 20, 2006 at his home following a lingering illness. Western Visiting Nurses assisted the family with his care.

He was born April 30, 1951, in Littleton, Colorado, to Ray Merrill Ferguson and Florence Fern Johnson Ferguson. He grew up in Littleton and attended Bear Creek High School.

On August 17, 1977, he married Wanda Lou Justesen in Idaho Falls.

He worked for Max Ker & Sons Lumber; he was a musician, drummer and back-up singer for Sage Junction, Hard Luck and Trouble and several other bands. he and his wife Wanda were owners of Independent Answering Service, a local telephone answering service for businesses.

He was an avid Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed music, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a great husband, Daddy, grandpa, and great-grandpa; his love was unconditional and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Ferguson of Idaho Falls; 4 daughters, Kathy (Cory) Cox, of Idaho Falls, Cozzett (Ronn) Allen of Idaho Falls, Linda (Brian) Scott of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Rona (Mark) Williams of Idaho Falls; 2 sons, Scott (Marcy) Bates of Idaho Falls, and Gary (Sheila) Bates of Idaho Falls; 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; parents, Ray and Florence Ferguson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and one sister, Jeanene (Patrick) Smith of Denver, Colorado; a sister-in-law Jan Ferguson of Littleton, Colorado, and two nephews; David Ferguson of Littleton, Colorado, and Christopher Ferguson also of Littleton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls with Brian Scott officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday November 24, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
