Obituary

Alorie B. Young, 97, of Idaho Falls, died March 25, 2007, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born November 1, 1909 in New Haven, Connecticut, to Arthur Boyle and Martha Baldwin Boyle. She grew up and attended schools in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1927, she graduated from Albuquerque High School. She attended the University of New Mexico and received an Associate degree in music.

In 1930, she married C.R. Young in Albuquerque. He passed away in May 1976. She lived in Albuquerque and Sant Fe, New Mexico. She was employed for the State of New Mexico in the Human Resources Division. In 1996, she came to Idaho Falls to be close to her family.

She was a member of the Episcopalian Church, Eastern Star, and the Altar Guild.

She enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Alorie Sermon, Vanessa Gruuver, Katie Young, Casey Richardson, Courtney Grvver, Jared, Levi, and Dancie Sermon.

Alorie always had a positive cheerful outlook, was pleasant to visit with ,and always shared endearing poems and stories; the family would like to thank Joy Young, her Caregiver for the past five years.

She is survived by the following: son, Robin Young of Santa Fe, New Mexico 3 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Ray A. Young.

Family services will be held in Albuquerque at the Cathedral of St. John at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
