Amelia "Millie" Gauna, 77, of Idaho Falls, died December 20, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Millie was born in Hillsboro, Texas on December 2, 1934 to George and Pauline Gauna Castro. She was raised in Taylor, Idaho and then moved to Rigby, Idaho. She loved Dr. Pepper and chewing gum. Millie had a lot of nieces and nephews but the ones dearest to her heart were little Rudy & Linda, who she called "Monkey" and her nephew "Boogerman". She also loved her best friend Yolanda Martinez. She is survived by a sister Nancy Castro of Twin Falls, Idaho; a brother, Paul Castro of Idaho Falls; a sister, Vera Tapp of Idaho Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father George Gauna; mother, Pauline Castro; and a brother, Rudy Gauna. The family would like to thank Linda and Dave Jamison for the loving care that they gave to their sister. Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery in Ririe, Idaho. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 1-2p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St Idaho Falls, prior to going to the cemetery.
