Andrew Jeffrey (Drew) Girton, 38, of Blackfoot, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Andrew was born on April 4, 1986, in Scottsdale, Arizona to Jeffrey Girton and Kim LaGrand. He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and attended Idaho Falls High School. In October 2003, he moved to Piedmont, Oklahoma for the birth of his first son, Justice McGee. He graduated from Piedmont High School in 2004. In early 2008, he moved back to Idaho Falls.
He joined the United States Army on November 6, 2008, he earned the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star. He was honorably discharged on December 13, 2013, with the rank of sergeant.
On December 22, 2008, he married Tiffany Ebert (Larsen). Their marriage produced two sons, Lucas (2012) and Bradley (2014). They were later divorced.
For the last 12 years, he worked for Alpine Logistics. He was an avid dart competitor and enjoyed camping, snowboarding, playing video games, and above all spending time with his sons. He was the best hugger ever, the life of the party, had a heart of gold, and was a proud and involved father of 3 boys.
He is survived by his sons: Justice McGee of Norfolk, Virginia, Lucas Girton of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Bradley Girton of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his mother, Kim LaGrand of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his father, Jeff (Lori) Girton of Rigby, Idaho; his brother, Ben Girton of Portland, Oregon; his stepbrothers: Josh (Tracey) Graham of Gilbert, Arizona, Zach (Helena) Graham of Mesa, Arizona, and Jed (Brittney) Graham of Rigby, Idaho; and his grandfather, Bob (Carol) Girton of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jan and Paul Litteneker; his grandmother, Myrna Brewer-LaGrand; and his grandfather, Don LaGrand.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at The Barn on 1st Street, 3934 1st Street, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 3-4:00 p.m., prior to services.
