Andrew Christian Johnson (Andy), 33, passed away Friday September 28, 2012, at his home of an accidental firearm discharge. Andy was delivered at home December 30, 1978, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rose Ann Staggie and Dan Henricksen. His parents later divorced. Four years later, Rose married Deon Johnson and he assumed full responsibility and became Andy's legal and lifelong father. Andy grew up in Idaho Falls. He attended local schools, ending his minor education at Skyline High School. He then continued his education at Eastern Idaho Technical College completing his GED which was a very gratifying accomplishment in his life. Andy wanted more! So nothing was going to stop him from improving his education and his life. Andy's employment began with a career carrying on the "legacy" of working for The City of Idaho Falls Parks Department (like most Staggie's). Later he took on a job with his Uncle Pete with L.N. Johnson Paving, learning hands on with one of the best. Construction became Andy's trade and he then decided to leave paving and turn to Painting and in 2007 joined the Painters Local 764 Union.. He worked for United Painting on countless projects at the INL. This past year he traveled to North Dakota for work with Swanson & Young Dale. He loved his jobs and loved the traveling, experiencing new places. Andy returned to Idaho Falls this past Thursday, September 27, due to his grandfathers passing. Andy was a devoted and loving son; father, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law. In July Andy Johnson and Gerri Zamaro was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Kaylee Jo Christian Zamaro. They later departed. On May 20, 2005, Andy married Michelle Balangue in Las Vegan, NV. On Nov. 18, 2005, they added another beautiful baby girl Areyana Christian Johnson to this amazing world. They later divorced. Andy enjoyed anything and everything to do with the outdoors especially when he was with his friends and family. He loved hunting, shooting, fishing, boating, snow machining, snow boarding, BBQ'ing, playing Texas hold em' and wrestling with all his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Andy was the happiest when he was surrounded by his friends and family. He always looked forward to all the special events & holidays that brought our whole family together. His love of life, family and friends, infections smile and sense of humor, along with his wild side, will leave lasting and treasured memories to everyone that has known him. Andy is survived by his daughters; mother, Rose Johnson; Father, Deon Johnson; Dan Henricksen, Sister, Kim Staggie with 2 nieces and one nephew, Natalie Staggie, Nicole Staggie, and Nevada Staggie; Sister, Brandy Johnson with one niece London -Rayne Dominguez; Brother, Rhett Henricksen (Amy) with one niece and one nephew and one great niece, Karri Henricksen, Devin Henricksen, and baby, Lilly Croft; Brother, Michael Henricksen (Angela) with one niece, Brynn Henricksen; his loving grandmother, Lillian Staggie; and numerous cousin, uncles, and aunts who will miss him dearly. His is preceded in death by his grandfather, James P. Staggie Sr.; grandfather, Robert "Bob" Johnson; Grandmother, Louis Johnson; and Uncle James P. Staggie Jr. (Pete) A celebration of life will be at the Eagles Lodge Friday, October 5th, between 11;00 am to 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with family and friends and a wake honoring Andy and his beloved grandfather with be Saturday October 6th at Mike and Angela's house at 2971 E 97 S. Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., in Idaho Falls. A memorial fund has been set up for Andy Johnson at any Bank of Commerce location.
