Obituary

Ann "Annie" Cramer Mills, 70, of Idaho Falls, died April 10, 2011, at the Gables of Ammon. She was under the care of One Source Hospice. Annie was born in Huntsville, Utah, to E. Lavon Fowers and Charles Cramer, on April 23, 1940. She enjoyed her childhood with her two sisters and two brothers on the farm in Huntsville. Annie graduated from Weber County High school in 1948. On May 2, 1948, she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While Annie was attending Weber State College, she met her husband-to-be, William Charles Mills and they were married June 27, 1963, in Ogden, Utah. By 1964, the couple moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, and in June 1966, Annie gave birth to her only child. A job opportunity opened for William in the desert of Eastern Idaho the fall of 1971, so Annie packed up home and moved to Idaho Falls. This is where Annie came to call home. She started her working career, first working for Machine Tabulating Services of Idaho and later the Department of Energy, where she retired after 20 great years with the department. In March of 1986, Annie became a grandma for the first time with the family of her only son being blessed with a healthy baby girl. Then in April of 1987, the family was blessed with a healthy baby boy. Annie loved her grand babies and spoiled them every chance she could. She loved to have extended visits with her sister, Valois, who lives in Southern California, and when she could, would take the grand kids with her and visit Disneyland and Sea World. Annie's love of golf, gave her the drive to invest wisely, and live modestly, as her dream was to golf the top 100 golf courses in the United States. Although she did get to golf many of those courses, a few have eluded her. Annie had many friends at The Gables and enjoyed the company of the fireplace companionship. She is survived by her son, Charles E. Mills of Idaho Falls; a brother, David (Linda) Cramer of Texas; sisters: Valois Perrish of California and ReNae Miller of Oregon; grandchildren: TrisAnn (Jeremiah) Perry of Ucon, Idaho, and Charles Bryan Mills of Idaho Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Duane Charles Cramer. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services.
