A bright light left the stratosphere to become a shining star in the midnight sky. Ann Snyder our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend sadly lost her valiant battle with cancer on September 6, 2014, at the age of 66. She will be greatly missed. Katherine Ann Snyder was born June 13, 1948, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Lee Wellard and Lea Dross Wellard. Ann grew up in Teton, Idaho. On February 5, 1965, she married Vaughn Rainey in Teton. They were later divorced. On April 25, 1980, she married Rocky Snyder. Ann was an excellent office manager at Big Rocky's in Idaho Falls, the Timbers Edge in Island Park and Sunnyside Acres Trailer Park in Idaho Falls. She loved dogs, cats, and had a beautiful yard with many kinds of flowers. Ann is survived by the following: sons: Vic (Cory) Rainey of Idaho Falls and Brett (Tonya) Rainey of Evanston, Wyoming; sisters: Trena Moon of Teton and Bonnie (Wes) Thomson of St. Anthony, Idaho; a brother-in-law, Dallen Gardner of Teton; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Rocky, in 2008, and a sister, Barbara Gardner. Graveside services will be held in the spring of 2015.
