Ann E. Thomson, 87, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born March 5, 1929 in Idaho Falls to James Monroe and Edna Geneva Fox Brown.
She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1947.
She married Leland R. Andersen on December 25, 1948 in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. She later married Harold G. Thomson on June 14, 1961 in St. Anthony, ID. They were later divorced.
During her life she lived in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Soda Springs, and Ogden, Utah. She worked at Printcraft Press and at Del Monte Foods Inc.
Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, dancing, Lawrence Welk, watching Dancing with the Stars, and doing puzzles. Ann enjoyed family gatherings of all types including watching her young grandchildren open their Christmas presents on Christmas morning, road trips, and dancing with her grown children. Her quick wit and loving nature endeared her to everyone whose life she touched.
Ann is survived by 2 sons, Rick Andersen of Idaho Falls, and Neal Andersen of Mackay; 2 daughters, Carla Summers of Ammon, and Elisabeth Murrell (Ben) of Moses Lake, WA; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her sons; Dennis Andersen, and Robert (Bob) Andersen; her parents; 11 siblings; and 2 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Bertha Smith for the wonderful care and friendship she has given to Ann for 14 years. She is a special part of the family.
