Martha "Anne" Brown, 76, of Idaho Falls, died August 19, 2010, at her home of heart failure. She was born February 15, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Weldon M. Waite and Martha Ann Mulberry Waite. She grew up in Roberts and graduated from Roberts High School in 1952 as the salutatorian. On June 1, 1952, she married Garth Y. Brown in Roberts. She has worked at the The Refuge, Broulims, kept the farm records for Skaars, and she was the secretary for the Jefferson County Canal Company. As a Christian, she was a member of the Baptist Church and was active and enjoyed singing in the choir. Anne was a wonderful seamstress, loved to garden, was a great cook, and she loved animals. She is survived by the following: husband, Garth Brown of Ammon; daughters: Becky Daniels of Texas and Debbie Harry) Strang of Boise; brother, John (Kathy) Waite of Oregon; grandchildren: Tony (Becky), Jeremy and Courtney Plank; great-grandchildren: Kalli Jensen, Cetera, Christian, Ashlie and Dreydan Plank, and Keiwan and Jericho Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters: Karma Trundy, and Welda Ropp. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 21, 2010, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, with Chaplain Joe Martinez officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. At Anne's request, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered on the family farm at a later date.
