Antonia Torrez Rios, 62, of Basalt, Idaho, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1952, in Snyder, Texas, to Elias G. Torrez and Marcela Rodriquez. She worked hard in her early childhood and lived in Goshen and Basalt. She attended high school in Firth. She married Armando Rios in 1970. They had a son, Armando (Tina) Rios Jr., and a daughter, Amelia (Drew) Davenport. Antonia loved her family and enjoyed cooking, visiting, and playing pool. She is survived by her children, Armando (Tina) Rios and Amelia (Drew) Davenport; siblings: John R. (Aronda) Torrez of Basalt, Idaho; Elias "Chico" (Cindy) Torrez of Hazelton; Amatha (Jeffrey) Edwards of Longmont, Colorado; Corina (Todd) Kramer of Longmont, Colorado; and Joe R. (Carol) Torrez of Firth, Idaho, and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Armando Rios, and a brother, Bobby R. Torrez. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Basalt LDS Ward Chapel, 823 N. 675 E., Basalt, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho falls, Idaho.
