Arnold Pierce, 93, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away December 26, 2016 at his home.

He was born November 24, 1923, in Detroit, Michigan, to Harold Pierce and Murl Smith Pierce.

Arnold served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was in the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton.

Arnold was an iron worker by trade and was a member of the California Ironworkers Local 378.

On July 30, 2009, he married Mary Ellen Brown in Nevada City, California.

Arnold was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pierce of Idaho Falls; daughters: Susan McKay of Sonora, California; Karen Daniels of Concord, California; and Sandra King of Folsom, California; step-son, Edward Yandric of Roseville, California; step-daughter, Jody Shane of Idaho Falls; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls.
