Barbara Dayley Edginton, 102, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Barbara was born on September 27, 1914, to Myron Maine and Phoebe Ann Dayley, in Parker, Idaho. She grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho.
On August 15, 1933, she married her true love, Charles Daniel (Dan) Edginton in Bozeman, Montana. Dan died on October 21, 1979.
In her youth, she worked at a hotel helping her mother, a seed house and Del Monte in St. Anthony. She worked several years at Model Cleaners. Dan and Barbara bought a coffee shop that she ran for several years. She also managed E Street Apartments until she retired.
She was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1981-1982 she served a mission for her church in North Carolina. She served in the Idaho Falls Temple Youth Center.
Barbara enjoyed traveling with her family. She spent her free time crocheting, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters: Bobbie Rose of Idaho Falls, Sally Edginton, of Colorado, Susan (Richard) Weigand of Colorado; her step-son, Jerry (Lila Bea) Thomas of Arizona; her son-in-law, Ronnie Baker of Idaho Falls; her sisters: Donna Tracy and Dorothy (Paul) Hannah both of Ammon; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; her daughter, Terre Ellen Baker, her son-in-law, Duane Rose, and 5 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Idaho Falls Stake Center, 1155 E First Street, with Bishop Bob Pettit officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12 noon-12:45 p.m., prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
