Obituary

Barbara Jean Higley, 54, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 18, 2006, at Life Care Center of cancer.

She was born Dec. 6, 1951, in Rexburg, Idaho, the daughter of John Franklin and Barbara Elizabeth Hardy Wright. She grew up and attended schools in Sugar City, Ucon, Ammon, and Plano.

In April of 1970, she married Roger Dean Higley. They were later divorced. She lived in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, and Plano.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cross-stitch. She worked at Deseret Industries and had a lot of friends there. Jean was a cheerful person, loved by all who knew her; she loved her family, enjoyed spending time with all those she loved and she stayed positive right to the end.

sister, Mary Fullmer (Stan), Teton, ID

sister, Sara Marie Schiender, Phoenix, AZ

sister, Trenna Pacheco (Fred) St. Anthony, ID

step-dad, Chuck Brand, Teton, ID

11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wright, and mother, Barbara Brand.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street by Bishop Tadd Jenkins. The family will meet with friends for an hour prior to the services. Burial will be at the St. Anthony Cemetery.
