August 12, 1928 – March 27, 2007
She was born August 12, 1928, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Hans Walter Jensen and Ada Geneva Hegsted Jensen. She grew up on a farm and ranch in the Idmon-Kilgore area and attended schools in Idmon and Spencer.
On November 17, 1944, she married Ralph L. Hillman in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. She and her husband resided in Plano and Kilgore where they farmed and ranched. In 1987, they moved to Idaho Falls to enjoy their partial retirement.
Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. In 1996, she served a mission to the Family History Center in Idaho Falls with her dearest friend, Vaudis Ward, for one and one-half years.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Lyle) Powell of Plano, sons: Randy Hillman of Plano, Nicky (Jackie) Hillman and Ronny (Annette) Hillman both of Hamer, Idaho; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws: Lula Hallstrom of Salt Lake City, Maxine (Karl) Barber and Denice (Boyde) Hughs of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a daughter-in-law, Georgia LaMae Hillman; a sister, Lucille (Clarence) Henniger, brothers: Mark (Billy) Jensen, Keith (Florence) Jensen, and Hugh (Bardee) Jensen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the Woodruff 1st Ward Chapel, 1660 12th St., with Bishop Lamar Densley officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and Saturday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
