Obituary

Barbara Jean Klingenberg, 70, of Idaho Falls died July 11, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 16, 1934, in Shelley, the adopted daughter of Eldon H. Petersen and Faye Anderson Petersen. She grew up in and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952.

On January 9, 1955, she married James Klingenberg in Elko, Nevada. She has lived in Idaho Falls all of her life with the exception of a few years in Tacoma, Washington, during World War II. She worked as a realty specialist for the Bureau of Land Management and retired from there in 1994.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed painting, beading, and gardening.

She is survived by the following: husband, James Klingenberg of Idaho Falls father, Eldon (Ann) Petersen of Idaho Falls daughter, Terri (Ric) Chavez of Apex, North Carolina son, Stephen (Stacey) Klingenberg of Vancouver, Washington 3 grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Petersen.

Private Graveside services will be Saturday, July 16, 2005, for family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
