Obituary

Bernadene Lords Quinton, 77, of Idaho Falls, died February 20, 2009, at her home.

She was born November 1, 1931, in Alta, Wyoming, to Joseph Alvah and Bertha Christiansen Lords. She grew up in Ashton, Idaho. She attended Ashton High School. She attended Clarks Business College where she studied accounting.

She married Ray Elijah Quinton on September 15, 1948, in Ashton, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on January 26, 1955.

During her life time she lived in Great Falls, Montana; Ashton, Twin Falls, Rexburg, and Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She worked as an accountant for various businesses including: Draney and Wells, Hughes Roofing, Western Wholesale. She owned and operated with her husband Standard Works Sandwich, Quinton's Country Store, and Princess Bakery in Twin Falls, and Rexburg.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as Relief Society President, Primary President, Young Women's President, and many other callings. She served a mission with her husband to the Canada Calgary Mission, had read the Book of Mormon 69 times, and worked in the temple.

She enjoyed art, crocheting, camping, and outdoors.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, and a friend who will be missed by all.

Survivors include: her husband, Ray E. Quinton, Idaho Falls; three daughters: Sharon (Calvin) Tuckett, Rexburg; Susan Moses, Springville, Utah; and Tracey Hawkins, Arimo, Idaho; one son, Michael S. (Cindy) Quinton, Slana, Alaska; one brother, Jay (Nelda) Lords, Idaho Falls; 16 grandchildren and 32 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Wayne and Rula; a grandchild, Shaston; a great grandchild, Melissa.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at the Coltman LDS Ward Chapel, 12448 N. 5 E., with Bishop Larry Clayton officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery .
