Bert J. McKelley passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on march 21, 1925 at his grandmothers home outside of Shelley to Joseph and Ada (Hult) Mckelley. Having attended Firth High School he went on to live and work in the Shelley area all of his life. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Margret (Hill), his children Linda, Steven (Joyce), Barbara (Jim) Chapple, Janet Craig, Patsy (Mike) Spencer, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, siblings Kenneth (Dorothy), Robert (Rosella), Leona (Dean) Hall, Janet (Jim) Mow. Bert loved fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also grandpa to many other children in his life. Due to allergies the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Bert McKelley at US Bank. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at 2:00pm, Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 1st Street, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends 1 hour prior to the services.Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
