She was born December 13, 1922, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, to George Coleman Pannell and Gladys Theral Butler Pannell. She grew up in Springville, California. She graduated from Porterville Union High School in Porterville, California, in 1940.
On June 3, 1946, she married William Paul Johnson in Reno, Nevada. He died in 1980. Besides living in Oklahoma, she lived in Springville and Stockton, California. She has lived in Ammon the past three years. She worked for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company (PT&T) from 1947 until she retired in 1979.
She was a baptized member of the Church of God in Lindsay, California.
She loved crocheting, sewing, and quilting.
She is survived by her sons: Larry (Cynthia) Johnson of Midland, Texas; Glenn (Mary) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; Gordon (Elizabeth) Johnson of Rosewell, New Mexico; and Gary Johnson of Idaho Falls; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Velma Theral Gilbert of Strathmore, California; a brother, George Coleman Pannell Jr. of Porterville, California
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, Lanora Pearl and Lelia Maxine; 2 brothers, Kenneth Eugene Pannell and James Monroe Pannell.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in California. Arrangements have been under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
