Obituary

Elizabeth "Beth" Robbins, 91, of Sandy, Utah, formerly of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died January 20, 2008, at Atria Assisted Living Facilities of natural causes. She was under the care of Sunbrook Hospice.

She was born July 12, 1916, in Preston, Idaho, to Parley L. and Hazel Smith Carver. She grew up in Preston, Price, Utah, and Pocatello, Idaho. She attended Carbon County High School and graduated in 1932.

On June 10, 1937, she married Verdus Robbins in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were married for 70 years.

She worked as a secretary for a law firm, engineering contractor and LDS Church social services. She also worked at a Bank and was an Avon representative.

She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many church positions, including providing ballroom dance instruction, which she enjoyed the best.

She was very active with the Square Dance group in the Idaho Falls area. She enjoyed spending time at the Island Park cabin, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Mom was a very sweet, patient, and gracious lady. She was always thinking of other before herself. she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They will always remember her wonderful "lessons of life" that she taught them and the example she set.

Survivors include her husband, Verdus Robbins of Sandy, Utah; a son, Ed (Dena) Robbins of Highland, Utah; 2 sisters, Hazel "Tiny" Cox of Pocatello, Idaho, and MarDeane (Amos) Jordan of Bountiful, Utah; one brother, Con (Barbara) Carver of Provo, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Larry Robbins, and Robert (Bob) Robbins, sisters June Tolman and Mae Carver, and brother Parley Carver.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2008, at the Sandy LDS Chapel, 89 East 11000 South, Sandy, Utah, with President Gregory K. Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
