Betty Lou Jensen McDaniel, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 13, 2014, at her home at Morningstar Senior Living Center in Idaho Falls. Her husband of 30 years, Keith McDaniel, had come to take her home after 10 years of being apart. She was born February 8, 1936, in Lewiston, Utah, the oldest of six children born to her mother, Pearl Elizabeth Jensen. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Aries Conrad Rose. Betty graduated from Ben Lomand High School in Ogden in 1954, and from Stevens Heninger College in 1956. Betty had a kind and loving heart accounting for the 3 marriages and loves of her life. At a young age, she was widowed by the death of her husbands, Stan and then Joe. In 1970, she married Keith McDaniel and became an instant Mom to Keith's daughters, Peggy and Anne. Betty worked as a phlebotomist and as a secretary. Besides living in Utah, and Idaho, she had lived in Texas and Nevada. She was an active member of the American Legion. Betty enjoyed collecting dolls, needlecrafts and crafts of any kind, playing Bingo, dogs, and being a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters: Peggy McDaniel Love and Anne (Kurt) McDaniel Hill; Brothers: John (Terri) Rose and Clark (Cindy) Hutchinson both of Ogden; a sister, Gaylynn (Mark) Rose DiBello of Ogden; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Stan, Joe and Keith; a brother, James; a sister, Sandra "Sandy" Berry; and a grandson, Brian James Love.
