William Brent "Bill" Bush, 57, of Idaho Falls, died of a heart attack, Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by family and friends at Redfish Lake, his favorite place on earth, near Stanley, Idaho. Bill was born August 9, 1957, to William Frank Bush and Shirley Anderson Bush. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area. He was second oldest in a large family of eight children and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1975. Bill also graduated from School of Hard Knocks obtaining a "PhD, if you ask me"! Following high school, Bill served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sevilla, Spain. He also served as scoutmaster, pianist, Sunday school teacher, executive secretary and numerous other callings. At the time of his death, he served as second counselor in the Iona 7th Ward Bishopric. He married Teresa Crook, August 10, 1979, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After working in various sales positions, he started an insurance agency, which he ran for more than 30 years. Bill enjoyed playing the piano and the keyboard in bands, woodworking, home improvement, motorcycling, camping and his family. He was perfect in all that truly mattered. Bill was a fierce protector of his family, yet he lived to make others happy and laugh. Bill would never want others to mourn too long, but celebrate his life and pay it forward by making others laugh and do the chicken dance! Survivors include his wife Teresa Bush of Idaho Falls; sons, Billy (Tonya) of Salt Lake City, UT, Jordan (Lindsey) of Idaho Falls, and Chase (currently serving the LDS church in the Brazil Sao Paulo East Mission); his mother, Shirley Bush Madsen; siblings, Scott (Connie) Bush of Ogden, UT, Shannon (Brooks) Clements of Pasco, WA, Melodee (Curt) Mueller of Rexburg, Shane (Peggy) Bush of Idaho Falls, and Brian (Janet) Bush of Shelley; grandsons, Camden, 5, Hendrix, 2, and Hank, 1; and many close friends and family members. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Bush; sisters, Linda Benson Gilbert and Gina Michelle Bush; and his brother, Galen Shawn Bush. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Iona LDS 7th Chapel, 1040 N. Crimson Dr. in Idaho Falls with Bishop Richard Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 1st St. Idaho Falls, and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
