Obituary

Boyce Sterlin Telford, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

He was born on September 24, 1954, in Ogden, Utah, to George and Doris Moore Telford. Boyce grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomand High School in 1972.

Following graduation, Boyce proudly served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1974 and was honorably discharged.

On September 13, 2013, he married the love of his life, Nora Jean Mallo, in Idaho Falls. Boyce worked for RE Beck Construction and went to work at Idaho State University until his retirement.

A talented artist, Boyce had a passion for painting and regularly competed in the Conservation Stamp Art Contest. Some of his artwork toured and was sold, showcasing his dedication to the craft and his love for nature and wildlife.

Boyce is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Telford; daughters: Cherie Wakley Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Charity Wakley (Levi) Poole of Boise, Idaho, and Carrie Wakley (Caleb) Siems of Boise, Idaho; his brothers: Craig Telford of Parma, Idaho, and Jay Telford of Ogden, Utah; and six cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Telford, and his son, Devin Steele Telford.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 30, 2025, at the Ammon Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
