Boyd Fielding Chambers, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home. He was under the care of Oakstone Hospice.

He was born on July 13, 1935, to Fielding L. Chambers and Winnie Catherine Connell Chambers in Roberts, Idaho. He grew up in Roberts and Idaho Falls.

He completed a Masonry Apprenticeship and went on to enjoy a long career in masonry. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 as a Launcher Crewman in the 4th Missile Battalion (Nike-AJAX), 60th Artillery.

On April 1, 1955, he married Sharon Lynn McCafferty in Idaho Falls and they enjoyed 71 years together. To this union, they added four children: Kevin, Clint, Court, and Kathy.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and he loved his family and friends. Boyd was a “good ole boy” who appreciated the simple things in life.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Sharon Chambers of Idaho Falls; his sons: Kevin Chambers, Clint Chambers, and Court Chambers, all of Idaho Falls; his daughter, Kathy (BeJay) Henrickson of Missoula, Montana; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Winnie Chambers; his father, Fielding Chambers; and his sister, LaVona Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
