Boyd Glenn Johnson, 77, of Shelley, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Eagle Rock Health and Rehabilitation.

Boyd was born on July 19, 1948, in Logan, Utah, to Glen Johnson and Ruth Nyman Johnson. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1967. After high school, he joined the United States Navy.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, and woodwork.

He is survived by his son, Aaron Johnson of Spokane, Washington; his brother, Kay (Judy) Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sister, Glenda (Sam) Edwards of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Glen Johnson; his son, Timmie Johnson; and his brothers, Rodney Johnson and Dick Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery with John Hart officiating. A celebration of life will be held following the graveside at 1:00 p.m., at his sister's home. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
