IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bradley Kim
Hill
April 16, 1956 – June 9, 2007
Brad grew up in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High School in 1974. He served for two years in the Adelaide Australia Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Brad met Karen Elizabeth Fuller in October of 1977 in Rexburg and they were married in August of 1978 in the LDS temple in Oakland California.
Brad attended Ricks College, and then transferred to Fresno City College in California where he graduated on the Deans list with an Associate of Arts Degree. Brad and Karen moved with their two children to Provo Utah where he attended Brigham Young University, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelors degree in Computer Aided Design Technology.
Following graduation Brad worked for Texas Instruments for a short time and then received a job offer in Michigan. Brad and Karen felt blessed for this opportunity and moved their three children from Texas to Redford Michigan. Brad worked at Delta Engineering for 4 years and then secured a position as IT director with Comau-Pico in Southfield Michigan. This position brought Brad many opportunities to travel around the world on business trips to Italy, England, Japan, South Africa and Mexico.
Brad loved to learn about new cultures and spent many hours learning to speak and understand the Italian language to enhance his business meetings. With six children in the house and a full-time job, Brad returned to school and received his Master of Business Degree from Michigan State University in 1995.
In 1997 the family moved to Howell Michigan and Brad continued to work at Comau-Pico. In November 2006 the family returned to Idaho, where Brad had been working as Physical Facilities Planner at BYU-Idaho. He was very excited about the contribution he was making at BYU-I and was also making plans for a SCUBA diving business.
Brad was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, serving in various positions including as Scoutmaster in two different troops for over 10 years. His influence for good was felt by many young men as he taught them a love of the outdoors, a quest for improvement, rendered service, and a love of God and family. He also served in many positions within the LDS church, including young men instructor, nursery leader, primary teacher and as a counselor in the Bishopric.
Brad loved the mountains, and many family vacations included trips from Michigan to visit family in Idaho and Oregon and experience all the wonders in the mountains including skiing, snowboarding, backpacking, camping, canoeing, sailing, and motor biking.
While in Michigan Brad found that the only high spot in the county was the home of Mt. Brighton - a small ski resort where Brad served on the volunteer ski patrol for many years, qualifying for membership in the National Ski Patrol. Brad was also an active SCUBA diver, working with Aquatic Adventures of Michigan to obtain his "PADI Dive Instructor' status. Brad loved the ocean, underwater photography, and sharing this love with others through his patient and skillful instruction. He enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo, and ukulele.
Brad leaves behind his parents, Clyde and Doris Hill of Ucon, brothers Craig Hill of Hawaii, Steve Hill (Debra) of Pocatello, Idaho, Jon Hill of California, and Sister Lisa Stucki (Kay) of Milo, Idaho.
His immediate family includes his wife Karen , six children and four grandchildren. - Daniel of Wayne Michigan, his wife Senta and their four children - Zoey, Jack, Nolan and Lucas; Joseph of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kimberly of Provo Utah, Sarah of Rexburg, Benjamin and Samantha of Ucon. Brad always had another adventure planned just around the corner.
