Brenda Ellis, 62, of Taylor, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Hospice Home in Ammon. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

Brenda was born on June 3, 1954, in Rigby, Idaho, to Edward Dale and Mary Ellen Welker. She grew up in Idaho Falls. She went back to school and earned her GED in 1986.

On June 8, 1970, she married her true love, George Dennis Ellis, in Idaho Falls. Together they raised four children. They owned and operated the Taylor Store.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Brenda enjoyed camping, crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, George Dennis Ellis, of Idaho Falls; her daughters, Kimberly Sue (Ted) Koontz, of Ammon, Idaho, Tiffany Lynnette (Daryl) Leaf, of Ammon, Idaho; her sons, Dennis Troy (Jen) Ellis, of Meridian, Idaho, Kevin George (Wendy) Ellis, of Shelley, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the Jameston LDS Church, 1101 E. 1250 N., Shelley. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be at the Taylor Cemetery.
