Brenna Joyce Ryner, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living. She was under the care of Symbii Home Health and Hospice.
Brenna was born November 9, 1954, to Ivol Russell and Joyce Ward Russell in Idaho Falls. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On March 1, 1972, she married Clifford Ray Ryner in Idaho Falls. He passed away on March 4, 2026. They were blessed with one child.
Brenna worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan and then later as the Activities Director. Later, along with her husband, they had a shelter home where they took care of seniors in their home.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary, the Relief Society, and Young Women’s. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family, having game nights, family barbecues, and nightly dinners with friends and family. Brenna was a very joyful and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved everyone and brought happiness to all around her.
She is survived by her son, Eldon (Sarah) Ryner of Idaho Falls; her sister, Dorothy Snarr of Idaho Falls; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ryner; her parents, Ivol and Joyce Russell; and her brothers: Steve Russell and Ferrele Russell.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2026, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends and family from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026, and one hour prior to services, both at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
