Bryan Keith Godfrey, 28, of Idaho Falls, died February 10, 2009.

He was born April 22, 1980, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Keith Godfrey and Linda Schmier Godfrey. He grew up in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. In 1998, he graduated from Hillcrest High school. He attended the law enforcement academy at Idaho State University.

In June 2001, he married Genny Nielsen. They were later divorced. On June 3, 2005, he married his sweetheart, Stephanie Davies in Idaho Falls.

He worked in construction, in the Walmart Optical Center and at Maverik as the store manager.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he had served as a Scoutmaster and an Elder's Quorum instructor. He earned his Eagle Scout award and served a mission to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed golfing, playing the Wii, snow boarding, water skiing, snowmobiling, camping, the 4th of July and fireworks, playing with his children, and always being active. Bryan had a great sense of humor, was a hardworker, a good friend and would do anything to help a friend; he loved his family very much.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Godfrey; sons: Zachary, Blake, and Brigham Godfrey; daughter, Malarie Godfrey; parents, Linda and Keith Godfrey; sisters: Heather (Jared) Duncan, Heidi Guymon, and Emily Godfrey all of Idaho Falls; brothers: Craig Godfrey of Pocatello and Bryce Godfrey of Idaho Falls; grandparents: Don and Jennie Schmier and Evan and Elaine Godfrey both of Idaho Falls; 3 nephews and 5 nieces.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Holly, and a brother, Brent.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Lincoln LDS 5th Ward, 3102 Pinnacle Dr. with Bishop Tim Belnap officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
