Obituary

Buddy Lee Johnson, 50, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at his home.

Buddy was born on April 12, 1976, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lee Johnson and Kathleen Ann Wiemer. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from the Curlew Job Corp in 1995, where he learned about apartment maintenance.

On June 26, 1995, he married Michelle Cynthia Kendall in Idaho Falls, at the Hope Lutheran Church. They were later divorced. He had three sons and two daughters.

Buddy has worked at Western Air from 2011 to the present. He worked at Walmart on the maintenance team and at Lowe’s in the plumbing department. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He was a gamer and enjoyed woodcarving, anime, D & D, and fantasy novels.

He was a kind and loving parent who did everything he could for his family and loved ones.

He is survived by his son, Michal Johnson; daughter, Heather (Randy) Bean; son, William Johnson; son, Kyle Johnson; daughter, Lindsay Smith; sisters: Lilly Reed, Eleanor Nygard, Ena Roseberry, and April Johnson; brother, Travor Johnson; granddaughter, Annamarie Johnson; and grandsons: Kayson Johnson and Frederick Bean, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Eleanor Wiemer, and Doris and Andrew Raymond; mom, Kathleen Wiemer; father, Lee Johnson; brother, Robert Woolsey; brother-in-law, Shannon Reed; nephew, Domingo Harris; aunt, Cheryl Wiemer; and uncle, Richard (Butch) Wiemer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends and family from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, at the mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com.
