Cecile Westover Staker, 78, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born May 3, 1938, on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation to Ernest Cecil Westover and Florence Hansen Westover. Cecile graduated from Snake River High School in 1957.
On December 4, 1959, she married Doyle Staker Sr. in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Cecile was a juror on a trial for five months in 1995. She worked for the Idaho Falls school district in the cafeteria and as a custodian for twenty years.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in many wards in Idaho Falls during her married life. She was currently a member of the Parley Ward. She was a member of the Willow Creek Ward for 20 years. She did extraction work and held many church callings.
Cecile is survived by her son, Doyle Staker Jr. of Rexburg, Idaho; daughters: Susan (Jerry) Elder of North Platte, Nebraska and Peggy Pittman of Boise; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Richard Westover of Idaho Falls and Robert Westover of Kenai, Alaska.
Besides her parents and her husband, Doyle, she was preceded in death her daughter, Phyllis Marie Staker and 2 brothers: Brian "Phil" Westover and Gayland Westover.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the services both at Coltrin Mortuary. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
