IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles 'Chuck'
Haukeness
February 26, 1961 – July 1, 2017
Charles "Chuck" Haukeness,56, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Idaho Falls, Idaho from a sudden heart attack, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Chuck was born to Stanley and Kathleen (Wilson) Haukeness, in Durango, Colorado, on February 26, 1961. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cathy (Disman), on August 16,1998, and his stepson, Sean Disman, in 1998.
Chuck has been a beloved member of the Southeast Idaho communities of Pocatello and Idaho Falls since 2001, working in both communities in the health care industry. He was a United States Navy veteran, being honorably discharged in 1982.
"Uncle Chuck" is survived by his sisters: Kristen Conrad, of Gainesville, Florida, (niece, Claire Conrad and nephew, Paul Conrad) and Kit Haukeness, of Park City, Utah (nieces: Leah, Rebecca, Mara, and Roslyn Selznick), and his brothers: David Haukeness, of Boulder, Colorado (niece, Alec Haukeness), Robert Haukeness, of Durango, Colorado (nephews: Johan and David Haukeness), and James Haukeness, of Cortez, Colorado (nieces: Tessa and Amanda Haukeness and nephew, Nicholas Haukeness). Chuck is also survived by Cathy's children that he loved as his own, Eric Disman, of Woodland Park, Colorado, and Christina Majerus, of Watertown, New York, and their 5 children. Chuck's numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren loved him like a father and they were the center of his giving, gentle, kind life, as were his beloved Denver Broncos. Chuck's dear friends are too numerous to name here because as we all know, Chuck knew no stranger.
Chuck's second family were the doctors and staff at Idaho Neurosurgery and Spine in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He relished going to work every day and loved each and every coworker there, especially Drs. Clark Allen and Brandon Kelly, who he loved like brothers.
Chuck will be honored and remembered at a family service in August in Durango, Colorado, but he would have loved to have each and every one of his friends to toast his loving life, "Fair Winds and Following Seas. Rest in Peace, Brother, We have the watch".
Local arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
