Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Agnes Wilkie, 47, of Idaho Falls died October 4, 2006, at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She miraculously outlived everyone's expectations.

She was born August 14, 1959, in Idaho Falls to Carroll Cutler and Bonnie Garner Cutler. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Cindy graduated from Skyline High School in 1977 where she served as class historian and business manager on the yearbook staff. This is where her lifelong love of scrapbooking began.

During the short time that Cindy was married to Kevin Buttars, she was blessed with her first child, Heather Ann on June 14, 1980. They were later divorced. On March 13, 1982, she married Craig Wilkie in Elko, Nevada. Their second beautiful daughter, Desiree, was born November 29, 1984. Together they lovingly raised two strong independent daughters.

Cindy began her working career at Ben Franklin, Skyline IGA, and Faye's IGA. She then moved to Smith's Food King where she worked as a grocery checker, bookkeeper, and pharmacy technician. Cindy was proud to be chosen as the top bookkeeper in the region. She was excited to take on a new position with Smiths traveling and doing training in the area when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She developed many friendships at Smiths and spoke of them fondly.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a assistant girl's camp director, and enjoyed serving as a visiting teacher. She was a past member of Phi Beta Kappa Sorority. The love of her life was her family. She enjoyed gardening and decorating her home, scrap booking for her children and grandchildren, reading, writing in her journal and she had a life-long love of reading. Cindy loved summers filled with camping and family vacations, and of course watching her husband and daughter's softball games.

She is survived by the following: husband, Craig Wilkie of Idaho Falls; daughters: Heather Ann Fonoti and Desiree Wilkie; grandchildren; Elijah Tusifolau and Saige Cynthia Fonoti; father, Carroll L. Cutler; mother, Bonnie Morris; sisters: Teresa (Brant) Johnson and Camille (Brian) Cope; and brother, John F. Cutler all of Idaho Falls

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Dewey Morris.
