IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clyde Henry
Raymond
November 26, 1922 – May 26, 2020
Clyde Henry Raymond was born on November 26, 1922, and passed away on May 26, 2020. He was born to Nellie & Elmer Raymond in Syracuse, NY. He enlisted in WWII on December 7, 1941, and served his country for 49 months in the US Navy; mostly as a Yeoman and gunner's mate on the USS Nicholson. He graduated from Pace College with a BS in accounting and an MS in Business from Columbia University. He met his wife, Annie Pernik, after the war and they were married on May 21, 1949, in Windber, PA. They settled in Arizona in 1954 where he worked 10 years in construction home building and 40 years as a self-employed CPA in the Phoenix Valley. Upon the passing of Annie in 2008, he remarried Jane Raymond on July 20, 2010, in Smethport, PA.
He is survived by his children: Don, Robert (Shari), and Joann; grandson Michael (Jill); granddaughters: Macy (Mat), Michele (Landon), Katelyn (John); and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Annie of 59 years, his wife Jane of 5 years, his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
He was extremely proud to call himself part of the greatest generation and to have served his country during the war. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was an example to all that knew him to live each day with a smile on your face and love in your heart. He will be greatly missed by us all.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Clyde's name.
Burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
