Obituary

Connie Sue Thomas, 54, of Idaho Falls, died March 4, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications from a stroke. She was born on Jan. 3, 1956, in Trenton, Missouri, the daughter of Sharon James and Mary Joan Dennis Berlin. She grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and then moved to Susanville, California, where she attended high school. She attended Southwest Missouri State University. She married Charles Linden Thomas on Sept. 21, 1983, in Pocatello, Idaho. Connie has lived in Idaho for the last 30 years and worked as a registrar at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for ten years. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992, but never let it hold her back in life. Connie was a devote Christian who was a member of the Shiloh Foursquare Church. She enjoyed cooking, family time, music, reading, needle point, traveling and camping with her husband. Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived her life through love and compassion and was a great example to all. She is survived by her husband, Charles Linden Thomas of Idaho Falls; 2 daughters, Kathleen Elizabeth (Chase) Burke of Idaho Falls, and Heidi Suzanne (Josh) Lanier of Quincy, Illinois; son, Alexander Thomas of Arcada, California; mother, Mary Joan Berlin of Springfield, Missouri; father, James Sharon of Bolivar, Missouri; 2 sisters, Cheryl (Steve) Fielding of Springfield, Missouri, and Cathy (Steve) McLean of Anderson, California; brother, Robert (Nancy) Berlin of Springfield, Missouri; mother-in-law, Beverlee Thomas of Ashton, Idaho; and 3 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Shiloh Foursquare Church, 502 2nd Street, with Pastor Tony Maupin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
