Obituary

Curtis J Pettingill, 61, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 3, 2020, in Yuma, AZ.

Curtis was born on February 19, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, to LaNae and Dean Pettingill.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1980. During his 6-year service, he earned several medals such as Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Badge for M16 Rifle, Air Assault Badge, and several others. He was honorably discharged as SGT B20 Combat Engineer E-5.

He loved fishing, hunting, NASCAR, he was very patriotic, and always had a dog by his side.

He is survived by his brother, Bradley (Sherisse) Pettingill of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 children and 2 stepchildren: Kimberly (James) Barbieri, Zack Wilcox, Zane (Kacey) Wilcox, Zabrina Wilcox all of Idaho Falls, ID, Chase (Katy) Pettingill of Hale, MI, Cheyenne Pettingill, Breanne Pettingill, Candice (Cory) Kikcrease, and Scotty Lewis all of MI; 8 grandchildren and 42 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., August 19, 2020, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, where military rites will be performed. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
