Dan R. Soderberg of Idaho Falls died January 2nd, 2010, of complications of heart problems. Dan was born in Idaho Falls on May 26th, 1953, and went to local schools. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1971 until1979 when he was honorably discharged. Dan was an excellent writer and published two books. He loved writing and drawing pictures for his "Danisms." He also loved music and was a very talented musician. Dan was a manager for Budget Tapes and Records, a manager for Debbie's Brother for Wes and Roxanne Smith, and Hansen Marketing. At the time of his death, he was employed at Wal-Mart. He married the love of his life, Evelyn Larson, on the 4th of July 1991. She later died in an automobile accident. He loved her eternally. Dan was one of the good guys everyone who knew him were better people because of him. Dan is survived by his half brother, Karl Hack, and friends: Pat Chapple, Shari Pehrson, Mike Hogan, Oscar and Earl. Dan was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister, Diane; and his step children, James and Chelsea. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday January 9, 2010, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services.
