He was born May 3, 1958 in Ogden, a son of Lester R. and Peggy Jensen Lucas. He was raised and educated in Ogden and had lived in West Yellowstone, Montana and Afton, Wyoming.

Daniel was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served his country with the U.S. Navy.

Daniel loved fishing and hiking.

Surviving are his loving companion, Claudia; children, Brandon and Holley; stepchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Amber and Emerald; his father Lester Lucas, brother, Roger (Kris) Lucas, sisters, Polly Guieterez and Jodi (Kim) Hawks; and his beloved dog, Baby.

He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Lucas on December 24, 2006, and a sister Ann Stocking.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon at the Ogden City Cemetery.
