Darla Lynne Carl was born, on October 27, 1943, to Tildon Clay Carl and Ora Inez Carl, in Fort Worth, Texas. She moved to Rigby, Idaho, in 1959, and graduated from Rigby High School.

She married Ronald W. Hutchings in December 1962. Of this union two children were born; Erik Clay and Kristi Lynne. They were later divorced. She married Douglas Leon Miles in 1974. Leon passed away in 1986.

During Darla's life she worked various secretarial and bookkeeping positions. She had quite impressive organizational skills. She owned and operated V1 Gas and Grocery for almost 20 years. She briefly retired and then went to work for Meleluca for a decade.

Darla enjoyed traveling, and was able to tour Europe, take many cruises and enjoyed her Mexico get away in Playa de Carmen.

She was a giving individual with the talent of making friends wherever she went. Her sense of humor will be one of the many things her family and friends will always remember.

She loved her granddaughter, Hailey, and their time together. Their adventures shared brought much joy to Darla.

Her family is forever grateful to all of Darla's friends who filled her days with fun and laughter. Special gratitude of thanks to all the special ladies who watched over her. You are angels and know who you are! THANK YOU.

She is survived by her son, Erik (Beth) Hutchings; her granddaughter, Hailey Hutchings; her step-grandchildren, Garrison, Hannah and Julia Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tildon and Inez; her husband, Leon; and her beloved daughter, Kristi.
