Darlene Fay Wray Winder, 84, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at her home of natural causes. She was born October 19, 1930, to Grover N. Wray and Birdice I. Wheeler Wray in Rupert, Idaho. She grew up in Irwin, Idaho, and in 1948 she graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On June 3, 1948, she married Chester F. "Bud" Winder in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She worked at Safeway grocery store, Rays In-and-Out Burgers, Longs Dutch Oven Bakery and The Elks Lodge. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of The Elk's Lodge where she loved playing Bingo. She also enjoyed listening to Country Western music and of course, her family was the love of her life. Darlene was a most caring and compassionate person-always so caring and upbeat. Her success as a mother is apparent in the love from all her children and grandchildren. She is survived by the following: Sons: Steven (Cleone) Winder of Idaho Falls and Mike Winder of Boise; Daughters: Cheryl (Roger) Wilhelmsen of Idaho Falls; Terri (Don) Kracaw of Winnemucca, Nevada; Renee (Brent) Taylor of Ferron, Utah; Gaylene Conder of Castledale, Utah; and Tiffany (Dave) Prescott of Idaho Falls; a brother, Darrell (Colleen) Wray of Idaho Falls and a sister, Shirley (Norris) Brown of Pocatello; 26 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Bud" Winder, who passed away July 5, 1995; her parents; sisters: Lela Wray, Maxine Cloward and Phyllis Jensen; brothers: Rex Wray, James Darin Wray and Gerald Wray. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
