David Scott Lines Jr., 41, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at his home.

David was born on April 1, 1981, in Glendale, California to David Scott and Teresa Jean Annis Lines. He lived in Henderson, Nevada and Las Vegas, Nevada.

After he graduated from high school, he went on to truck driving school. He spent over 2 years of over the road driving and many years as a truck driver.

On August 18, 2017, he married Melissa M. Williams in Blackfoot, Idaho. To this union, one son was born. The family made their home in Blackfoot, Idaho.

David held many different jobs in his life. He was a security guard at a casino, a corn picker at Grove City Gardens, and most recently he worked for Polatis Farms. He loved the outdoors, shooting, fishing, and riding ATVs. His favorite times were those spent with his family and the ones he loved. He enjoyed driving RC cars with his son or swimming every chance he could. David was a loving, kind, big-hearted man and would do anything to help others in a heartbeat with no questions asked.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Williams Lines of Blackfoot, Idaho; his son, Luke D. Lines of Blackfoot, Idaho; his parents: David and Teressa Lines of Blackfoot, Idaho; his sisters: Jami (Bradley) Norman of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Amanda (Mike) Sparks of Blackfoot, Idaho; his brother, William Lines of Blackfoot, Idaho; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Harold and Phyllis Annis Sr.; his grandmother, Clara Annis; his uncles: Bill Lines and Lee Annis; and his sister, Virgina (Corky) Taffitin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Shelley Baptist Church, 471 South Emerson Ave., Shelley. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com .
