Dawn Elizabeth Schwarze Peterson, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.

Dawn was born on December 25, 1927, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George F. Schwarze and Lillian Kienker Schwarze.  She grew up in Milo, Idaho and graduated from Ucon High School.  She attended Idaho State University.

After World War II on April 10 of 1947, she married Talmage (Ted) Peterson.  Together they had three children: David, Nancy and Bradley.

Dawn and Ted were fortunate in their lives together to travel to many places.  Their excursions took them to Hong Kong, Japan, Europe, South America and several islands.  She enjoyed her garden; time on the lake with her children and other family members.  She also enjoyed playing the piano and snow skiing for many years.

She is survived by son, David (Paula) Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter, Nancy (Joe) Finch of Memphis, Tennessee; and son, Bradley (Lisa) Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho.  She was a wonderful Grandmother and had five grandchildren whom she adored:  Shane Peterson, Dane Smith, Natalie Finch, Logan Peterson and Shalee Peterson Gaworski; along with three great grandchildren: Trevor, Tyler and Aundrea Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage (Ted) Peterson.
