October 24, 1924 – December 16, 2008
Dean J Storer, 84, eternal companion of Elaine Storer, joined his sweet daughter Val, his parents, sisters, extended family, and Father-in Heaven on December 16, 2008.
Dean was born on Oct. 24, 1924 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Ucon High School and soon after joined the Air Force and trained as an engineer on B-29 Bombers.
Dean is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served many years in Scouting, as a High Counselor, and in other priesthood callings, and deeply touched those he came in contact with. He took great joy in serving as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple for 23 years.
He was an avid photographer and loved taking pictures of the temple. Many of Dean's pictures can be found hanging there and in other church buildings. He has a great love for the outdoors, and particularly enjoys camping and fishing with family and friends.
Dean was a master builder and contractor for most of his adult life. His work can be found in the many homes, commercial buildings, and remodeled church houses he worked on throughout the area. Dean was the contractor who put the statue of the Angel Moroni on the Idaho Falls Temple.
Dean is the caring, giving father of Darwin (Mary) Storer, Betty (George) Cook, Valorie Elaine Storer (deceased) and Judy (Rob) McCrory.
