Deanna Redford Simpson, 62, passed away peacefully in her home on January 6, 2019 in Idaho Falls, ID surrounded by loving members of her family.
She was born November 14, 1956 in Whittier, California. She grew up in Brigham City, UT with her 6 other siblings (Virginia, Trina, Jill, Linda, John, and Roger). She attended high school at Box Elder High School and eventually graduated from Skyline High School in Idaho Falls.
On December 27, 1977, she was married to her beloved husband, Wayne Winger Simpson, in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shortly thereafter, she graduated from Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelors in Science in Recreational Therapy. She worked at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT where she cared for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
Deanna lived a robust life with a magnetic personality. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren, singing, laughing, or watching shows together. Some of her favorite hobbies in life included singing with her siblings, sewing, crafting, party planning, and camping with her family. The joy of her life was raising her 5 children (Joshua, Barbara, Scott, Jessica and Zachary).
She was proceeded in death by her father, Dean Franklin Redford; mother, Barbara Burnett Redford; and grandson, Titus Domenico Carbonello.
She was fortunate to have 11 grandchildren before her passing and constantly expressed her deep love for them.
Deanna loved serving others. She served as the Primary President, Relief Society presidency, Young Womens adviser, and teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Deanna was a kind and gentle woman that loved life, cherished others, and cared deeply for her family. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing such a wonderful person.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Ammon 13 th Ward Chapel, 7118 So. Ledgerock Drive. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Ammon Cemetery.
