Obituary

Delbert V. Chapple, 77, of Beaver Dam, Arizona, formerly of Green River, Wyoming, and Rexburg, Idaho, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at his home in Beaver Dam.

He was born July 9, 1929 in Rexburg, and was the second son of Leo V. Chapple and Rebecca Porter Chapple of Rexburg, Idaho.

He was raised in Rexburg, Idaho where his family had a small homestead. After World War II, he went to work for his dad in the family painting business.

He married his first wife in 1947; they were later divorced. In 1959 Del married, Gloria Cordova of Green River, Wyoming. She died in 1980.

In 1957, he went to work for the Little America Corporation painting billboards. Soon after that, he moved to Little America, Wyoming, and spent the next 22 years. In 1967, he became General Manager of Little America, Wyoming. In 1973 he bought his own business "The Lakeway Liquor", and moved to Green River, Wyoming. In 1977, he went to work for Mountain Fuel, working there until his retirement. After retirement he moved to Rexburg and also purchased a second home in Beaver Dam, Arizona, becoming a snowbird.

Survivors include 2 sons, Bertt Chapple, of Shelley ID, and Jim (Barbara) Chapple, of Idaho Falls; 5 daughters, Suzanne (David) Falkingham of Idaho Falls, Patricia (Clark) Silver of Page, Arizona, Nola Chapple Kimbro of Idaho Falls, Lori (Dennis) Wipf of Phoenix AZ,and Connie (John) Griffiths of Idaho Falls; 21 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert Chapple, sister, Jeannette Archibald, his second wife Gloria Cordova Chapple, children, Bobbie Sanchez Chapple and Peggy Ann Sanchez.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Riverview Cemetery, Green River, Wyoming. The family will meet with friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Virgin Valley Hospice, 355 Mesquite Blvd., Suite B50, Mesquite, Nevada, 89027.
