Delbert Lee Youngerman, 78, of Idaho Falls, died September 24, 2005, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born June 17, 1927, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Dewey Frederick Youngerman and Laura Bertha Schwiesow Youngerman. He served as a mechanic in the U/S/ Army during the Korean War. He was very proud of his service to his country.
On Sept. 10, 1949, he married Constance Jacqueline Carstens in Huron, South Dakota. They later divorced. He lived most of his life in Huron, South Dakota, and in 1997, he moved to Idaho Falls.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his children: Dennis (Mona) Youngerman of Idaho Falls Debra (Kerry) Steadman of Salt Lake City David (Ann) Youngerman of Tulsa, Oklahoma Doug (Carol) Youngerman of Greybull, Wyoming Danelle Pay of Salt Lake City 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren brothers: George (Joan) Youngerman of Cando, North Dakota Melvin (Jean) Youngerman of Huron, South Dakota Dewey (Lois) Youngerman of Staunton, Virginia
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene Evelyn Youngerman.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls.
