IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delores Geraldine
Buhler
September 6, 1921 – June 7, 2018
DeLores Geraldine Chapman Buhler was born on September 6, 1921 in East Millcreek, Utah, to Geraldine Bolton and James Munroe Chapman. She was the fourth child of six. She grew up loving music, playing the guitar and piano. Her first job was babysitting which made it possible to pay for piano lessons. She attended the World's Fair in San Francisco playing her guitar with her Granite High School Music group. Her love of music was a constant companion throughout her life. She filled up her home with singing and whistling.
When she was 19 she met a tall dark handsome boy at a church dance whose name was Roscoe Jesse Buhler. They were eventually married in Farmington, Utah on June 28, 1941. Roscoe enlisted in the army and they were stationed in Texas during World War II. They eventually settled in Midvale where they raised 7 children. She enjoyed her time working at the Midvale Junior High School cafeteria for 22 years. She dedicated her life to taking care of her disabled son, Ross. She was grateful to her children for their loving care, notably to Karen and Jim who she lived with for 3 years at their home in California. She then lived four years at Beehive Homes Draper. The last seven months of her life were spent at MorningStar in Idaho Falls where Christine and Barry had the opportunity to enjoy her last months of life. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and homemaker. She always put her family first in everything. We will miss her smile, quick wit, energy, humor, love of music, and loving care. We will always love and remember you Mom!
She is survived by her children: Karen & James Gurr, Judith & George Meldrum, Ross Buhler, Michael & Carolyn Buhler, Geraldine & Paul Farnsworth, Christine & Barry Bennett, Craig & Teresa Buhler; 33 Grandchildren,
68 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 5 grandchildren; brothers: Eldred, Blaine, James, Jack; sister, Beverly Crane.
The Family would like to thank Beehive Homes, MorningStar, and Encompass Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
