Obituary

Surrounded by loved ones, Delores Wilma Thompson, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, at her home. She was under the care of Solace Hospice. She was born July 30, 1937, in Mason City, Nebraska, the sixth of twelve children born to Elzie and Vera Mortensen Henman. When she was two years old, the family moved to Idaho. On March 21, 1956, she married the love of her life, Raymond Thompson in Hamer, Idaho. They ranched and farmed in the Monteview area, where their five children were born. Delores and Raymond moved to Dubois, Idaho, where they lived for twelve years. In 1996, they moved to Idaho Falls. Delores enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, making baby blankets and embroidering tablecloths. She always had a photo album to share pictures of her grandkids and great grandkids with everyone she saw. She is survived by her five children: Donette (Loyd) Engberson of Monteview; Gloria (Mike) Ostler of Worland, Wyoming; Rod (Diane) Thompson of Morrison, Colorado; Bruce (Brenda) Thompson of Centralia, Washington; Virginia (Tony) Robinette of Middletown, Delaware; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; Brothers: Bob (Emma) Henman of Idaho Falls; John (Bonnie) Henman of Wilder, Idaho; Butch (LaDonna)Henman of Rigby; and Lester (LaPreal) Henman of Dubois; Sisters: Joann Abbott of Dubois; Alice Olsen of Price, Utah; Joyce (Everett) Mortensen of Dubois; Linda (John) Toler of Dubois; and Mary Murray of Idaho Falls; sister-in-law, Sherrie Henman of Blackfoot and Brother-in-law, Milton Tommy (Deione) Thompson of Hamer, Idaho. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sister, Ruth Conrad and a brother, Don Henman. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Coltrin Mortuary and Friday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Dubois Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. following the services. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Solace Hospice for the loving care they gave Delores.
