Delwin Harold Lowder, 82, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living, surrounded by his family. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Delwin was born on March 5, 1935, in Lewisville, Idaho, to Harold John and Ada Stallings Lowder. He grew up in the Lewisville area.

On November 8, 1957, he married Sheila Dalene Green, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they raised their five children: Todd, Marnae, Melody, Daniel and McKay. Delwin spent his time farming on their dairy and potato farm in Aberdeen, Idaho.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the South-Central States and loved missionary work and serving those around him.

Delwin enjoyed taking care of his lawn, whether it be mowing lawns or yard work. He enjoyed reading in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Lowder, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his children: Todd (Deanna) Lowder, of Aberdeen, Idaho, Marnae (Howard) Weisenburger, of American Falls, Idaho, Melody (Harlyn) Oman, of Wellsville, Utah, Daniel (Samantha) Lowder, of Rockland, Idaho, and McKay (Judy) Lowder, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his brothers: Lyle (Darlene) Lowder and Everett Lowder, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Ada Lowder, and a brother, DeVon Lowder.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the LDS Church at 3547 East Menan Lorenzo Highway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Annis Little-Butte Cemetery in Annis, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
